IN THE TRACES OF FOREST PEOPLE

Do you know who were the Huncokars? Come and join us following the footsteps of a German speaking community that lived on both sides of Small Carpathians. Why did they come here, how did they live, what they believed in and what were they engaged in? Commented undemanding hike for all age groups. Children and dogs are welcome.

The circuit is about 9 km long and takes about 2.5 hours. The terrain is easy and variable, both forest and asphalt road. In the winter you need waterproof hiking boots. We will start & end at the same place. Meeting point is at the bus stop, opposite the hotel Zochova Chata. Parking is for free.

How to get there:

The departure of the bus to Zochova Chata from the bus station Bratislava, Mlynske Nivy is at 11.40 am, bus stop Nr. 22. The arrival of the bus from Bratislava to Zochova Chata is at 12.55 pm. The departure of the bus direction to Bratislava is at 5.05pm. The bus journey takes an hour. Refreshments is available at the Furman’s tavern, Huncokár ‘s tavern or hotel Zochova Chata before or after the tour.
